How it works
From sign-up to first visit in under a week.
Setting up care for a parent is stressful. We made this part simple. Here’s what happens, step by step.

Tell us about your parent.
Create an account and fill in your parent’s profile: where they live, what languages they speak, what they enjoy, and anything a companion should know. The whole setup takes about five minutes.

We match them with the right Kin.
Every Kin is background-checked and trained before they’re approved. We match on language, interests, neighbourhood, and personality. Most families stay with the same Kin every week. That’s the point.

Your Kin introduces themselves.
Before the first visit, you’ll see your Kin’s profile: their photo, their bio, why they do this work. You can request a different match at any time, no questions asked.

Visits happen on a rhythm.
Your Kin shows up on the same day each week. They might go for a walk, help with groceries, play cards, or just sit and talk. The visit adapts to your parent, not the other way around.

You see everything.
After each visit, you get a summary: what they did, how your parent seemed, any photos (with consent), and anything you should know about the home. No guessing.

Adjust anytime.
Swap your Kin, change your plan, pause for a hospital stay, add extra visits. Your subscription is flexible because your life isn’t predictable.

What actually happens when your Kin shows up.
Every visit is different, but the rhythm is the same. Here’s what a Tuesday morning with Margaret and her Kin, Sarah, might look like:
Arrival
Sarah parks in the driveway and checks in on the app. GPS confirms she’s at the right address. She knocks, Margaret opens the door. They’ve been doing this for three months now.
Catch-up
Tea first. Always. Margaret talks about her week. Her daughter called on Sunday. The neighbour’s dog got out again. Sarah listens, asks questions, laughs at the dog story.
Activity
Today it’s groceries. They drive to the store together. Margaret picks what she wants; Sarah helps carry bags and reach the top shelf. On the way home, they stop for Margaret’s prescription.
Home observations
While putting groceries away, Sarah quietly notices the fridge was nearly empty and a lightbulb is out in the hallway. She’ll note both in the visit summary. No alarm, just the things Margaret’s daughter would want to know.
Goodbye
Sarah says goodbye. Margaret walks her to the door. Sarah checks out on the app, writes her visit summary, and uploads a photo of the new orchid Margaret bought at the store.
Family gets the summary
Margaret’s daughter gets a notification: visit complete. She reads the summary on her lunch break. Grocery run went well, lightbulb is out in the hall, Margaret seemed cheerful. She texts her mom that evening.
Most families have their first visit within a week.
Sign up today and your parent could have their first visit by next week. We move quickly because we know you’ve been thinking about this for a while.
